Here's some new info to keep you all up-to-date:
1) As discussed in the comments of the last update, there was a hard-to-find Rawhide Kid #1 up for auction, which I bid on and won. With shipping it came to $235. It has been paid for and I'm just waiting for the arrival.
This is the kind of book I was hoping this project would enable us to get. I don't think anyone here wants to spend that much on one book, so I'm glad you're all in on this.
Gambit informs me that we now only need three issues to complete the series: 5, 6 and 13. Which leads me into item #2...
2) I have sold just about everything we have already purchased and scanned. I think I have less that $25 in books left that haven't been sold yet. With the new donations to the group and the money not spent on RK #1, we have $85 in the kitty. At this point, I'm going to hold onto this money to purchase any/all of the three issues we are missing from Rawhide Kid. If you see one for auction or BIN, or on some other site, get in touch with me and I'll buy it. If you can't get in contact with me and you're afraid it will get sold, buy it yourself and I will fully reimburse you.
3) I mentioned new donations above: Mal32 kicked in another share. In addition, please welcome Fett to the group, who kicked in a little more that our average share.

I also updated the scan_project file with the latest numbers. I haven't updated the checklist yet, but for those who aren't aware, Brigus has dropped a bunch of excellent-looking early Kid Colt Outlaws in the last week.
5) I'm going to try and set up an RSS feed for this blog later today.

I thank everybody of you for all this.
This is a dream come true for me and I will never stop to try to do something useful to the group.
For example, I have found a copy of "World's Greatest Songs" and it will arrive very soon thanking the help of MrWoody.

awesome rawhide #1 is such a treasure.
proud of the buy, and proud of the idea to get everyone to go in and set up a fund to buy hard to find books.
and Pmack you have done a great job, buying scanning, selling, and keeping everyone in the loop.
You really deserve some major cuddo's for your efforts.
And unless someone has already beat me to the punch I would like to edit that rawhide #1.......but I wont mind if someone FAST wants it. :)
We need Rahwide 5,6,10 & 13...I missed 10 when I looked through my list....
