I have returned after another break, I apologize for the lack of updates...
Here's the latest:
- I sold that Rawhide Kid #1 for more than we paid ($250), but after paying the ebay and paypal fees it ended up costing us $2.50 to buy and scan that book. I'd say that was pretty good, considering the price of the original purchase ($235).
- Right now the money is tied up in several purchases:
1) 3D Tales of the West #1 ($115) - SCANNED
2) Two Gun Kid 23 ($54) - SCANNED
3) Black Rider 9 ($42) - hasn't arrived yet
3) Black Rider 13 ($30) - hasn't arrived yet
4) Blackstone the Magician 2 ($72) - hasn't arrived yet
There's less than $35 left in the kitty at this point.
Also available at the 4shared site, some older books I hadn't done because they were rescans:
Wyatt Earp 005 - SCANNED
Wyatt Earp 025 - SCANNED
I am particularly excited about that Blackstone, as I was looking at another copy and it was $125. I always get nervous about buying pricier books because ebay is such a horrible place to sell stuff now, and it's so easy to end up taking a bath. We've been fortunate enough not to have lost more than $20 on any one book so far.
The spreadsheet has been updated and is available to download.

Thanks for that 2 gun kid 23, I love it!
MORE! MORE! :)
and pmack, get yourself back in scanners, we miss you :)
more scans please :)
Thanks pmack! Nice to see the project continue with such great stuff. And wonderful news about RK#1 selling so well.
Should we be thinking about contributing more, to keep things rolling, or see how things work out after the latest batch is sold?
Have my thanks too!!!
I will try to be more useful very soon,

I am of two minds about asking for more donations.
On one hand, it would be nice to have, say $5-600 in the kitty, with which we could buy, say twenty ~$30 books, but on the other hand that means I've got to scan twenty books :)
Brigus (with help from Gambit) has a side project going where he's tracked every Timely-Atlas western we still need and has scoured online sellers to document which books are available, from what sellers and at what price. It's exahustive. And what he's found is that there are huge numbers of books we need in the sub-$30 category.
My only problem with using this resource to buy from is that we'd be paying top dollar for these books in a market where the actual resale value is probably 50-60% of that price.
I will make another post very soon with more details about this Brigus project along with a link to his file. The one I have now is a few weeks old and is probably out of date.
This week I will be trying to sell a few more of our books to replenish the kitty, so let's see where we stand next week as far as cash on hand.
I've also got a book here from Mal32 which he wants me to sell and has generously offered the proceeds to the project. It's a pricey book, so it will bump up the kitty very nicely if it sells for the price I want to get for it.
Hey, Pmack. Great work!
I just sent you release 1.03 of the Timely-Atlas Western Price List
I have no problem sharing with the rest of the team. And yes, there is a hell of a lot of affordable Timely westerns.
33 Timely Westerns left.....
I thank you for your kind words but all of you are very generous and I really thank you all!!!
:-)
I really hope the comic book will sell for a good price!!!

Hi Mal. Not sure what comic you are selling but I want to thank you for your very generous help. This will go a long way to advancing our little project. Kudos to you, bud!
In other news, I have received confirmation that Rawhide Kid #10 is shipping. A while back I bought #5 and #13. In just a few short weeks we will complete another long-running Marvel/Atlas series!
You are very kind, Brigus, and I repeat it is me to thank you all for all the things you do. I thank you for your magnificent work, too, Brigus!! I do really appreciate all your scans.
I love you all, guys, very much!!!
;-)
